- Quite right, and since the PC clone business gives Escom such comparatively
- little profit - as with any PC clone manufacturer - AT can`t really sell at a
- loss. If you take their current Amiga prices to suggest that the large profits
- made off the A1200 at the moment are in fact funding future machines, thewn you
- could say that it`s good for the overall future of the Amiga, but not for the
- consumer in the short term. Those consumers are IMHO, more often than not,
- experienced Amigans like us who missed the AGA boat when C= went belly up and
- want to get an A1200. Less likely are new buyers, since there are more machines
- ahead of the queue in the mainstream desirability stakes - PC, Mac,
- Superconsoles, even 16-bit consoles...
